From the Director’s Desk

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra ( Farm Science Centre )  was established in  2005. During the last three years farmers, farm women, rural youths of the Mehsana district have derived  problem oriented training and ultimately in their entrepreneurship a lot of benefits form the services it has rendered.

Mehsana district is famous for white revolution (Milk Production) and  Asian’s no.1  APMC (Unjha) which clearly indicate  that the district mainly depends  on agriculture  and animal husbandry. thus, KVK become most important institute of the district. There is a prime need to evolve healthy synthesis between Indian’s ancient wisdom and modern Science of Agriculture, to revolve sound Indian economy. It is time taking process but that now is centre’s main objective. North Gujarat in which the centre is located is rich in tradition of Agriculture Practices. So the centre is now busy in fulfilling the said purpose. We do hope the combination of ancient wisdom and modern science will produce a new pattern of Indian Agriculture  in the due course.

In the attempt the present team comprises of six scientists, guided by the Zonal Coordinator (Zone – V, ICAR) are now engaged. I wish them all success in all efforts of them
